Helping you navigate disordered eating, reconnect with your body, and discover ways of eating that feel nourishing, flexible, and aligned with your values

My Approach

Our relationship with food and body image are unique and deeply personal experiences, shaped by a mix of biological, psychological, and social factors.

Challenges with food and eating may include difficulty recognising or trusting body cues, changes in appetite, avoiding certain foods or social eating situations due to fear, discomfort, or worry about being judged. Changes in our eating behaviours may also serve as a way to gain a sense of control or manage difficult emotions

Experiences of not feeling seen, understood, or fully accepted in the world can add extra layers of complexity to your relationship with food and body, often impacting our sense of self and identity.

If this resonates with your experience and you would like to explore and improve your relationship with food and body...I see you, I hear you and I am here to walk this journey towards food and body freedom with you.

How I can help

My role is to help you gently untangle these experiences, rebuild trust with your body, and find a way of relating to food that feels supportive, flexible, and aligned with your values.

Sessions are designed to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences with food and eating and meet you where you’re at.

Services

What to expect

Initial Assessment (Sessions 1–2)
In your first sessions, we’ll take the time to really understand your eating patterns, dietary intake, medical history, and any mental health considerations. We’ll talk through your goals, priorities, and any concerns at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you. Together, we’ll set goals that are realistic, meaningful, and flexible—so you feel supported and in control of the process.

Follow-Up Sessions
In follow-ups, we’ll reflect on your progress and explore what’s working, what feels challenging, and what adjustments might help.

FAQs

Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed to book an appointment. If a formal plan or extra support might help, I can provide a letter of recommendation for your GP.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments are dedicated time just for you, and last-minute cancellations or missed sessions may mean someone else misses out. Late cancellations or missed appointments are billed at the full fee

How long is each session?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes with 10-minutes of admin time for notes, preparing and sending resources and/or care team communication. Shorter 40-minute reviews may be offered at the clinician’s discretion.

How often will I need appointments?
This depends on your circumstances and stage of treatment. Weekly to fortnightly sessions are common at the start of eating disorder treatment. As you progress, session frequency is usually reduced to suit your needs and comfort.

Can parents or caregivers be involved?
Yes, especially for adolescents. This may include joint sessions, progress updates, or guidance on supporting recovery.

Should I prepare anything?
It can help to bring recent food diaries, medical information, or reports from other clinicians.

Are sessions confidential?
Yes, with exceptions only as required by law, such as risk of harm to self or others.

Do you work with other medical professionals?
Yes, collaboration with GPs, psychologists, or other specialists is part of care when appropriate.

If you are interested in seeking psychological support, I can provide recommendations for psychologists who I regularly work and have extensive training in eating disorders.
